Re: Notes from December 15
Hello everyone,
First, I’d like to thank you all again for your kindness. Secondly, just wanted to share a few thoughts. Actually, just a few questions that came to mind, to contemplate…
On “Evil”
Yes, the Newtown shooting was/is oh so so sooo sad! But, innocent people, all over the world, die, hurt, and are abused and killed, daily, throughout the history of humanity. Why is this any more important than everyone else?
We always ask, why me, why my child, why us? Why don’t we ask, why not me? Why not us?
We, human beings, are just one kingdom of GOD’s creation. I’m sure this will sound insane to some, but I must ask, why are we so much more important than all the other sentient baby animals that we kill to feed us daily?
I mean, of course we are much more important, to us, to ourselves, but to GOD? How do we really know? Is it realistic to expect absolutely everyone to live healthy to a ripe old age?
I mean, we all gotta die sometime, don’t we? Do we expect to all have the same story? Where does that exist in nature?
Is it possible that death at a young age may somehow be a blessing in disguise?
Could there possibly be any good and value in pain and suffering? Perhaps one of GOD’s secrets?
Whatever IS, IS reality. IT IS what GOD willed, or let BE. Why do we question GOD? Do we know better than Him? Are we even capable of seeing the bigger picture He sees?
It seems to me, we humans mostly just want what we want, we want GOD to be subject to us, to our desires, instead of just trusting and accepting that He’s got some higher purpose/plan way beyond our limited understanding.
This 20 year old mentally ill child that committed the crime… Some would say he’s a demon, a devil. But, is it possible that we, as a collective, as a society, might’ve created him, by contributing to his pain-body and illness, and somehow drove him to it, possibly by our judgment and lack of compassion and understanding? Could this be our Karma? Perhaps there is a bigger lesson and opportunity in this for us? Perhaps we should make better laws?
What if these little souls who died… How should I say this?… What if they’re something like little Christs who signed up for this job? To ultimately contribute to the evolution of our species? Does that make sense? Crazy idea I know, but how do we know? Is it even possible to know? Maybe that’s where faith comes in?
Much love to you all.
Fay
